Opportunity Center clients

The Opportunity Center provides real-work employment opportunities, skill development training, and socialization / communication activities to over eighty current clients. For nearly half a century, the Opportunity Center has worked tirelessly to provide people with disabilities an opportunity to develop their full potential in society.

Work Related Program

The primary objective of the Work Related program is to teach persons with disabilities proper work habits and work skills to improve their ability to achieve supported or competitive employment. [read more]

Skill Development

The Vocational Soft Skills Training and Skill Development Program is designed to assist individuals who are interested in gaining valuable employment skills that will help them obtain and retain a job in the community. [read more]

Day Services

The Day Service Program is a non-work service offered by the Opportunity Center. This service is geared toward goals of providing regularly scheduled, individualized skill development activities to participants. [read more]

Supported Employment

The Opportunity Center provides Supported Employment to facilitate the employment of participants interested in an integrated work setting. The program offers assessments, job development, job coaching, vocational skills training, and follow up services. [read more]

Recreation Program

The Opportunity Center offers a summer recreation program for all clients.  The purpose of the recreation program is to provide community integration, small group learning activities, social skills, and an avenue for people to get out an enjoy physical activities with peers that they may not normally get in their life.
